Mythology is defined as a collection of myths, especially one belonging to a particular religious or cultural tradition.
“a book discussing Jewish and Christian mythologies”

This is completely separate from the holy scriptures. Many people buy into folklore as if it were truth or even mixing mythology with the holy scriptures. Similar words would be folklore, fairy tales, folk stories, tale, you get the idea. Granted, telling stories is nice especially if you’re the creative type. Nevertheless, it’s fiction. made up, not ture, nor real. This can not and should not be confused with the holy scriptures.

        1 Timothy 1:4 KJV
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

To touch on genealogies real quickly, when it talks about endless genealogies, it’s referring to bloodlines. Bloodlines is not means for or of salvation. Salvation comes by way of faith in Christ Jesus. So to argue genealogies (bloodlines) it’s utterly and 100% pointless. Bloodlines is just to show your heritage, ancestors. We can clearly see this in Matthew 1:1-16 KJV
