        Bluesky Feels Like Classic Twitter

Back in 2010, I created an account on Twitter for The Social Pit. I liked the idea of sending out tweets, which is short messages, engaging with other people, gaming companies and developers, as well as to promote The Social Pit to gain an audience. Throughout the years, I’ve posted on and off, and twitter has always been a free platform, easy to use. You can pretty much customize Twitter to your liking. You also had features such as, editing your post to make any kind of corrections.

After Twitter was sold, not only did the name changed from Twitter to X, but many basic feature have been locked behind a pay wall, mainly a premium subscription model. The verification system is also tied to the premium sub model. I would be understandable if someone as new to the platform but for people like me that have been on Twitter for 15 years, it seems ridiculous at best. Hoping that Twitter would go back to the ways it use to be was never going to happen. So, in comes Bluesky.

A few days ago, I found out about Bluesky. Bluesky is essentially what Twitter use to be with some key differences. With Bluesky there is no tweet, you post. Posting is limited to 300 characters. You can edit your profile as many times as you like to make or update changes. You can customize Bluesky to your liking. You can follow other people, reply to post, like, block, just in the same way you would with Twitter.

Sure, Bluesky Social or just Bluesky is a new platform that has been around since 2021, and even though Bluesky is relatively new, it feels like classic Twitter. You’ll be able to do exactly what you use to do on Twitter. You feel comfortable as if you’ve been there for years. Currently, you have over 23 Million users on Bluesky and I’m sure, with time, Bluesky will become a household name. So, if you don’t like X, or have been looking for a platform that is like Twitter, look no further than Bluesky. Below, I’ll link the Bluesky website so you can go and check it out for yourselves.

Bluesky has been continually updating and fixing bugs with it’s platform and that’s expected, especially with the influx of new members. And as I’ve said before and posted on Bluesky, Bluesky feels like classic Twitter and that is a very good thing.
