It’s Just a Chill Game
When I think of a chilled game to play, American Truck Simulator (ATS) is my go-to game. I go to Job Market, choose Freight Market and choose the type of run I want to go on. It can be long or short runs. The longer the run, the more valuable the cargo, the more money I make. Once I pick a job, I just port to the closest location, drive to the yard, pick up the load and go. The run can be over 1k miles, so, just drive while listening to classic rock or anything for that matter. The job can run about an hour (real time) I just enjoy the scenery, chill and drive.
Skill Points
When you start off, brand new to the game, you just do random jobs until you make enough money to buy your first garage and truck, you build up from there. You’ll learn the mechanics. You’ll start off doing easy, short runs, as you progress, you get level up and earn skill point to add them to one of six categories, Hazardous Cargo. Long Distance. High Value Cargo. High Value Cargo. Faglie Cargo. Just-In-Time Delivery and Fuel Economy. The more skill points you have, the more you’ll earn and, you can add your skill point in any order. However, once you add the skill points, you cannot remove the skill point to place it in another location. Eventually, you will fill all of your skills. So, make sure you know where you want to place your skills early on.
Maps. Maps. And More Maps
Currently, ATS has 10 states with their corresponding cities with two DLC maps, Texas and Montana coming soon. No timeline has been given as to when the maps are going to drop, and I’m highly interested. A lot of the areas are locked and it’s understandable but annoying because I like to explore. I can’t go off-road either. There’s also a multiplayer option called Convoy. You can join a pub lobby, create a pub or private lobby and just invite your friends.
You can also share the same jobs between friends, provided they have the same amount of skill points add as you do. If not, your friend(s), will have to pick a job he can run, and you’ll just have to join him and put pressure on him to farm levels. Why not. He’s holding you back man. Not cool. LMAO. Also, below you have the list of the states and some of the cities added.
The developers are hard at work in creating DLC expansion maps. I’m going to safely assume that SCS will add all fifty states. That is just my guess. However, if true, it’s going to take a long while. The upcoming DLC expansion maps are going to be Texas and Montana. No release date has been given as to when both expansion will drop.

Own Garages, Rigs. Build and Empire
ATS is a supper chill game, you can buy multiple garages in every state, buy multiple trucks for each of your garages, hire employees and level them up to earn you max profit on their runs. You can build your own trucking empire. Oh, speaking of trucks, you have 8 manufactures, Kenworth, Volvo, Peterbilt, Mac, Weststar, Freightliner and International. However, I would have love to have seen, classic rigs from the 1950’s to present day. I don’t think it’s going happen, but it’s still a nice idea. The devs has done a good job of updating the game. You can also add mods to ATS. I play with my Xbox One controller and its rock solid. You can also play with a wheel as well.
CANNONBALL RACE
You want to do something for fun, try this, create a convoy and invite your friends. Chose the furthest point on the map. Set a way point that everyone can see. Now, you and your friends fill up your gas tanks. and drive to the closest streetlight. Line up like in a race grid formation. Wait for the red light. Get ready. When the light turns green, RACE ON! GO! GO! GO!

In My Opinion: Very chilled. Solid Game Play. Solid Controls. New Contented continue to be added. Continued updates and fixes. Graphics could be better. – The Social Pit
