There’s nothing I would like more than to see Call of Duty back on Steam. Sadly, it hasn’t happen since Call of Duty WWII. Every call of duty after World War II has been on Activision’s Battlenet. However, Someone from Reddit posted picture of Modern Warfare 2 showing up in the bottom of the Steam Store. If you click on the link now, that MW2 picture is no longer there store.steampowered.com/dlc/311210/ There has been no confirmation on Activision’s part, as far as I know that they are going to release the upcoming Cal of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Steam.
Maybe this was done to send a message that we want Call of Duty back on Steam. Maybe is a spoof. Maybe it was a teaser that Call of Duty is returning to Steam. Maybe it’s just a troll. Maybe is just a way to create hype where there is none. At the end of the day, I can’t say if Call of Duty is coming back to Steam. No one knows but Activision. Lets just say, for argument sake, Call of Duty Modern Warfare is coming back to Steam. That’s great. So what? You mean to tell me that if Call of Duty Modern Warfare shows up on Steam, we won’t have SBMM, $25 dollar skins, Disbanding Lobbies after every match, and Macrotransaction Store with over priced cosmetics.
As far as I’m concern, Whether it comes to Steam or not, the above is not going to change. So, why all the Steam hype? When Activision confirms that Modern Warfare II 2022 is coming to Steam, when Activision confirms that they are getting rid of Skill Base Match making but leaving it for competitive mode, When Activision Confirms an anti-cheat system that works, When Activision confirms no more Battle Passes since Call of Duty is not Free to Play and and the Battle Pass will be confined to Warzone Only, then lets get hyped. Do I want to be wrong? Yes, I do. But am I wrong? We’ll see in the coming days, weeks and month. But as of now, Modern Warfare II coming to Steam platform, it’s nothing more than Hype with a lot of Steam
