Why I Stopped Playing Call of Duty & Warzone Altogether

Publisher: Activision
Developers: Infinity Ward, Raven Software

It’s always the same

I not too much into battle royal games. Sure, to play few times its ok. But, in the long run, you just end up doing the same thing over and over again. Sure, we all grind games over and over but… What do I mean? There’s no change up, no map selection, takes too long, yes, I’m fully aware it’s a “Battle Royal, I just not interested in Battle Royal “type” games, I don’t have a hate, per-say, but is not a massive love either. it’s not my thing. I prefer close quarter combat (CQC) in small to large size maps, nothing overdone and 10 minutes tops with as many kills as possible per round. My problem is that Warzone is tied to all current Call of Duty games. I prefer TDM, Dom and Hardpoint, these are my top favorite mode and yes, Nuk3town is a must. Sorry, can’t get enough of Nuk3town.

You Can’t Keep Me Out

Sure, I’ve played Warzone, is it bad, no. Warzone is pretty solid. The problem is the amount of cheating that goes on. Sure, Ban wave ad issued, and? The same people that get banned return to the game. All this talk about security measures and the best ideas was “hey, let’s make legit players invincible”. My question is, how long before a cheat comes out that you can see invincible players? Then what? It boggles my mind that a company with billions haven’t gone after companies that make these types of hacks/cheats. Getting sniped from across the map is not only stupid but pointless. It’s not just Warzone, but other B.R. games as well.

The Cheating Continues

A major factor why I stopped played Call of Duty Warzone and Call of Duty in general is because of the amount of cheating that takes place. Look, I love played Call of Duty, and in my honest opinion, Call of Duty is one of the best FPS games out there, it really is. But it’s been said time and time again, the majority of us are just fed up with the all the cheating. Every Call of Duty game, from Black Ops 2 onward is the same thing. Why? Today, 2022, you can jump on Black Ops 2 on Steam, enter a TDM lobby and some is running hacks/cheats, plutonium is just as bad so don’t even. Just don’t. If Activision can clean up all the mess concerning hacks/cheats, I would love to jump back in and start playing again. But right now? I don’t know.

You Forgot About Us

In truth, the Ricochet system they have in place should not just be for Vanguard and War zone. It should be expanded across all Call of Duty games. Understand, every Call of Duty game from Black Ops 2 to Vanguard still has online multiplayer. Sure, some Call of Duty games have a smaller player base than others, but people still play. I still play Black Ops 2, WWII off and on, on PC and it’s the same thing over and over, none stop hacks/cheats. Some hacks/cheats are worse than others. But nothing has been done since day one when these games released, and the problem persist and it’s a shame, really. However, if the new Ricochet system proves to be effective in the long run, that’s a big if, well, I might jump back on Call of Duty. Right now, It’s a wait a see game for me.

In My Opinion: Security measures should be applied to all existing Call of Duty multiplayer games, not just current editions. The Social Pit
